Innovative Medical Practices LLC brings Exceptional Knowledge to you and your staff.

What Information is Covered?

The Professional Medical Coding Curriculum has been created by the American Academy of Professional Coders because of a growing need for coding information and education in the increasingly technical field of professional coding. It is recognized as highly credible and is taught and accredited throughout the country in various venues, Colleges and Universities. This program may also assist students wishing to obtain certification (optional) in coding by further prepping for the national (CPC) Certified Professional Coder credential exam.

Ours is NOT just another typical certificate program. We offer:

• 25 lessons of classroom instruction (26 with the Review Class for CPC Exam)
• PMCC – Course Manual / Student Workbook
• Mid-Term Examination
• Online Practice Exam (3 sets)
• Final Review Class and Final Examination
• Several hundred practice coding questions to gain experience plus instructor’s clients work turned into case studies
• 5 hr 40min – Proctored National “CPC” Certification Exam
• 90 hours of classroom times (face-to-face instructor led)
• “Purposeful Annotation” for coding speed and ease

Previous coding experience and anatomy and terminology is helpful but not required. A one-day course on Anatomy and Terminology for the Coder may be available prior to the class beginning for thosewithout experience or who wish to have a refresher course. This is not a required course; however, those registered students for the course may attend at a discounted rate of $150.00. What to bring: Required: 2019 CPT, 2019 ICD-10-CM and 2019 HCPCS II coding manuals.

Prior to the Exam: Students with 2 or more years coding experience will need two letters of recommendation prior to midterm. Your instructor can provide one of these letters if only one is available. Those without two year’s experience are exempt from the letter requirement and qualify for the apprentice status. This course is approved and qualifies as one-years’ experience upon completion.
